Technology is the key to improving the literacy of people in our local communities.
Strong oral and written communication skills are vital to a person's ability to gain increasing levels of employment and financial stability in their lives. Literacy is the foundation to the development of these skills. Improved literacy contributes to economic growth, reduced poverty, lower healthcare costs and an increase in community engagement.
It's not a big, new idea but will always need constant attention and focus. We want to be a part of this and help our local communities find ways to use technology to continue to address this need.
